If you’ve been playing Anime Expeditions, you already know one big problem: Trait Rerolls (Trait Crystals) are super hard to get! Unlike other Roblox games that give you endless rerolls, this game makes you work for every single one.
If you want to get the 0.1% Unbound trait for your best units (like Megumi or 8th Sword / Kempi), you are going to need a lot of crystals.
Here is a full list of all the best ways to get free Trait Rerolls in the game right now!
1. One-Time Rerolls (Easy Gems & Crystals for Beginners)
If you are a new player or haven't finished all the main stages yet, do these first:
- Redeem All Game Codes (\~225 Rerolls): The devs give out lots of codes. Go redeem every active code right now to get over 200 free rerolls instantly!
- 3-Star All Story Maps (\~155 - 220 Rerolls): Clear every story stage on both Normal and Hard mode with 3 stars. Clearing all 5 worlds gives you 150 to 220 Rerolls (including hard mode achievement rewards)!
- Beginner’s Path & Daily Calendar (\~100+ Rerolls): Finish the Beginner's Path tasks (\~30-40 Rerolls) and log in daily to claim Calendar Rewards (up to 75 Rerolls).
2. The Expedition Hub (Free Daily Rerolls)
Once you reach level 20 and unlock Expedition Mode, you can build a system to get free rerolls every day:
[Build Gold Mine] ➡️ [Buy Gold Shop Rerolls] ➡️ [Build Expedition Shop] ➡️ [Build Resource Drill]- Gold Mine + Gold Shop (25 Rerolls / Day): Build the Gold Mine first. Put your Fuel Cells inside so it makes Gold while you are offline. Take that Gold to Ramen Guy’s Gold Shop and buy 25 Trait Crystals every single day!
- Expedition Shop (15 Rerolls / Day): Build the Expedition Shop and use your Expedition Coins to buy 15 daily Rerolls.
- Quest Board (25 Rerolls): Build the Quest Board inside the Expedition area to grab 25 Rerolls by finishing easy tasks.
- Resource Drill (Geode Capsules): Put Fuel Cells into the Resource Drill. It makes Geodes/Capsules that give you a chance to win free Rerolls and Gems!
3. Raids & Event Shop Exchanges
- Raid Shops (100 Rerolls / Week): Play Raids to get Raid Tokens. There are two Raid Shops, and both reset every week. You can buy 50 Trait Crystals from each shop (100 total every week)!
- Headliner Hunt Event (100+ Rerolls): Join events like Headliner Hunt. You get Event Coins every time you pull or evolve a new unit (40 coins per evolution). Take those coins to the Event Shop to buy a ton of Rerolls!
4. The "Shiny Normalizer" Trick
A lot of new players miss this trick: You can recycle bad Shiny units for free Rerolls!
If you pull a Shiny Legendary or Mythic unit that you don't need, go to the Upgrade Zone and open the Shiny Transfer machine. Turning a Shiny unit back into a normal unit gives you free Trait Rerolls on the spot!
5. Easy Daily Checklist
Here is a quick checklist of things to do every time you log into the game:
- 🟢 Daily Quests: Finish them for 5 Rerolls.
- 🟢 Weekly Quests: Finish them for 15 Rerolls.
- 🟢 Daily 30-Minute Challenges: Do 10 runs for 30 Rerolls (60 on weekends!).
- 🟢 Daily Challenger Mode: Clear it for 10 Rerolls (20 on weekends!).
- 🟢 Weekly Challenge: Clear it once a week for 50 Rerolls.
- 🟢 Daily Shops: Buy out the Gold Shop and Expedition Shop (40 Rerolls combined).

Rerolls are hard to get, so do not waste them on weak Mythics that will be useless in the next update.
